Is anyone recording Derek Jacobi's 10-part reading of the new Sherlock Holmes novel, "The House of Silk" by Anthony Horowitz? It's broadcast on weekday evenings on BBC Radio 4 at 10.45pm, in the "Book at Bedtime" slot. I was delayed in London yesterday and didn't get home in time to catch the first episode!

Hi Roger,
Here I am, Johnny come lately ready to post it for you and look at the multitudes here ahead of me. It is truly inspiring the wonderful haven we have here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- RickIt really is, Rick. Civil, generous, knowledgeable... Almost enough to restore one's faith in humanity, until one goes elsewhere on the 'net.
Indeed it is, Rick!

The unabridged audio-book is over ten hours long.
The abridged version is 2.5 hours long.
I highly recommend the unabridged.
Hey, Roger, can you post the audio of your interview after the event is over? The British Library is a bit out of my way. :)

All being well, I shall do so.
Roger
Jake Tucker already has a thread for it in the Holmes section.
It's NOT a great abridgement.
Thanks to all! What nice people there are at Times Past!
I have to reserve judgement on the abridgement - and the book itself - as I'll be conducting a public interview with Anthony Horowitz on the 27th November at the British Library - see http://www.bl.uk/whatson/events/event124345.html.

Shouldn't it be available on the "Listen Again" page for BBC4?
In fact, here's the link for Episode 1. It will be available for the next six days:

I'm currently listening to this via Audible, and it's excellent. A well written pastiche, and Jacobi's narration is top notch.
Thanks, Jeremy. Yes, we can listen on-line for a limited period, but is anyone recording the broadcasts for the collectors among us?
Roger
Hi Roger,
I've added it to my Radiadownloader and will post for you.
Have a great day, katy
