A Quick One (while he's away) is the highlight of the set. It's more of a Rock Cantata than a rock opera. This live version is much better than the studio LP.
It starts out a bit clunky, with too much plot exposition and the Who's terrible C&W pastiche. It picks up intensity toward the middle and gets absolutely incendiary at the Forgiven-Forgiven-Forgiven conclusion.
Not sure. I seem to remember the Stones delaying or stopping it due to perception that The WHO had outperformed them on this which caused a lot of tension. If I remember correctly.
