Jazz to the Rescue
 
In 1953, no American musicians were allowed to perform in the UK. Then, for one night only, stars including Ella Fitzgerald and Lester Young played a Flood Relief charity concert in London.



John Fordham revisits this historic night, with the memories of legendary pianist Oscar Peterson, and Pete King, who runs Ronnie Scott's jazz club.
