Harry Potter read by Jim Dale

I thought since semoshorts has uploaded the british version with Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter, I'd add the american version with Jim Dale's narration to complete the collection :)

Jim Dale:

JIM DALE is the voice of all the characters in the Harry Potter audiobook series. This work has won him the Grammy Award (2000), two Grammy nominations, and two AudioFile Earphone Awards.

  • Thank you for these Alan!

I've listened to bits of both Stephen Fry and Jim Dale reading the first book and I have to say Jim Dale's readings are outstanding!! The animation in his voice, the different character voices he does (he uses 100 different voices I believe) make his readings such a pleasurable experience for young and old. I understand too that he is a very strong advocate for children learning to read.

I have a number of children's audiobooks with Jim reading and they are absolute favourites of my children. We are certainly waiting for the next in the series of Harry Potter with great anticipation.

  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

    Read by Jim Dale
Running time: 11 hrs., 48 mins.

For twelve long years, the dread fortress of Azkaban held an infamous prisoner named Sirius Black. Convicted of killing thirteen people with a single curse, he was said to be the heir apparent to the Dark Lord, Voldemort.

Now he has escaped, leaving only two clues as to where he might be headed: Harry Potter's defeat of You-Know-Who was Black's downfall as well. And the Azkban guards heard Black muttering in his sleep, "He's at Hogwarts...he's at Hogwarts."

Harry Potter isn't safe, not even within the walls of his magical school, surrounded by his friends. Because on top of it all, there may well be a traitor in their midst.
