A CHRISTMAS CAROL IN PROSE BEING A Ghost Story of Christmas by Charles Dickens PREFACE I HAVE endeavoured in this Ghostly little book, to raise the Ghost of an Idea, which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me. May it haunt their houses pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it. Their faithful Friend and Servant, C.D. December, 1843. This post is of Patrick Stewart's acclaimed one-man performance of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, as released in 1991. 1-3 of 5

  • I agree. Patrick Stewart's version is brilliant. I usually don't like audio readings/narrations, but this is a major exception for me.
    • Kwork,
One might call me strange, many have, for this interpretation. When I first heard it I envisioned him on the Holodeck of the Enterprise Performing this for Dickens. My fantasy life is quite active when I listen LOL--Rick
  • It is a WONDERFUL production. I had the chance to see it live in NYC 15 years or so but went to the opera instead. It was a lovely evening, but I'm still kicking myself about missing the Patrick Stewart. I listen to this every year, if possible ON Xmas eve.
  • Hi Rick! Thanks for all the great postings! Lots of fun stuff!
  • Rick:

You must have read my mind. I love the Christmas Carol and have several versions. I've been looking for this particular one with Patrick Stewart.
