    I noticed however that the copy of The Name Of The Rose as been converted from Lit format. I hope you do not mind, but I have added a better copy in both retail Mobi and Epub (V5.0) format.

    Umberto Eco is an Italian philospher and novelist with an academic backgrounding in semiotics.  He is best known for his first novel, Il nome della rosa (The Name of the Rose), an intellectual murder mystery that was made into the Sean Connery movie with the same title.  Eco has an eye for historical accuracy, intellectual honesty and sympathetic character development.  His books are always very satisfying reads.

    For the rest of us who don't know who Umberto Eco is, how about a tiny text about what kind of novel Umberto writes.
