Emily Davison is today known, if at all, as the woman who threw herself in front of the King's horse, Anmer, during the 1913 Epsom Derby in order to strike a blow for the cause of Women's Suffrage.
Tremain's drama provides insight into the movement Emily supported and speculates why she made her fatal leap into history.
