The BBC has produced two separate offerings which dramatize the famous diaries.

The first was a six-part series, dramatized by Neville Smith, with each play being one hour in length.

The second offering was (is?) actually multiple series of short plays in the "15 Minute Drama" slot, adapted by Hattie Naylor. These tend to focus on the more "entertaining" aspects of the diaries and are thus less effective history. That being said, they are quite good of type.

For those who prefer their history in less adapted form, I have included two audiobook readings of the diaries. The first is a series of excerpts from the year 1666 - The Great Fire - read by Michael Hordern. Title: "A Most Horrid Flame"

The second (and my personal favorite) is the complete, unabridged diaries for the years 1660-1669 read by Sir Kenneth Branagh.

I've also inckluded a clean copy of the recent "Fire of London," a drama by Hattie Naylor "freely adapted" from the diary for 1666
