Patrick Humphries tells the little-known story of Errol Flynn's final year, much of which he spent in Cuba, filing reports to Hearst newspapers and producing two Cuban-based movies.
One of the leading Hollywood stars of the time thanks to his roles in a series of swashbuckling epics, Flynn found himself at the epicentre of the Cuban revolution. He spent time with Fidel Castro in the Sierra Maestra Mountains and went on to record the revolution in the documentary film Cuban Story, in which he is seen alongside Castro and Che Guevara.
