Martin Wainwright examines the reasons why the series of radio broadcasts made by Yorkshire author JB Priestley during World War Two were brought to an end, despite having attracted a large audience. The documentary uses archive clips and interviews with members of Priestley's family to explore the popularity of the programmes, as well as material from BBC files that document why he was taken off air.
