Carmen Miranda, The Lady In The Tutti Fruiti Hat
Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha GCIH, better known by the stage name Carmen Miranda (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkaɾme͂j miˈɾɐ͂dɐ]; February 9, 1909 – August 5, 1955) was a Portuguese Brazilian[1] samba singer and actress most popular in the 1940s and 1950s. Her family moved to Brazil shortly after her birth. Famous for promoting Brazil in her role as an entertainer, Miranda was a Broadway star, one of the highest-paid artists in Hollywood, and by some accounts the highest-earning woman in the United States. She achieved stardom in motion pictures, cast in musical roles and often wearing a hat topped with tropical fruit, most notably in The Gang's All Here, which has become her iconic visual identity. She is considered the precursor of Brazil's Tropicalismo.

Sometimes when I post something it surprises me on the response. This is one of those times. I enjoyed this thoroughly having grown up with these kinds of movies on the TV on the late show and usually Saturday or Sunday afternoon as fill when there wasn't a game on. They were always good for a laugh, but I didn't realize that I was not the only one who remembered and enjoyed this type of entertainment. Thank You all for the great response to this that I did not expect. I will definitely now try to find something on Charo of Xavier Cugat fame.
