Blind Man's Beauty (BBC Radio documentary)

Blind Man's Beauty (BBC Radio documentary) In 2004, Peter White, the BBC Disability Correspondent, who is blind, recorded a five part series called Blind Man's Beauty. In each of the 5 episodes, each about 14 minutes long, he talks about the beauty of life, and takes us on a bit of a tour through his world from the point of view as a blind person, and muses on subjects such as walking, accessible elevators, buildings, the underground (which I think is similar to the American subway, answering questions, and the beauty of the natural world. The series challenges the notion that the blind cannot experience beauty, and suggests that we can, and do experience beauty in our own worlds, and in our own way. This series is in stereo, the files encoded at 128kbps, and sounds quite good in headphones as it is recorded on location, wherever he is talking about at a given moment. It's roughly 65 minutes in total 1-3 of 5
