Kill em All, Let God sort them out was a basic theme voiced by many patients when I worked for the VA as an RN 1972-1982. I tried to enlist in 1970 and was rejected for having steel in my hip. I had pins in my hip from a partial slipped femoral epiphysis. Anyways since I was an RN I went to work for the Veterans Administration and did acute psychiatry on a unit that every patient was Homicidal or Suicidal and a good percentage Viet Nam Vets since I could not go there and treat them. I heard things that were what had been lived by these men. Their memories were more vivid than even an HD presentation and frankly I do not want to go there.
Others will most likely have their eyes opened watching this but for me it would just trigger what I do not want to be triggered. Unfortunately they don't recognize or treat PTSD from other peoples remembering and verbalizing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- R
