      Very Welcome ...  I have so much content its hard to decide what to share next .... Its funny to me all my collecting actually started with the OTR Content and talking with Robert . My actual 1st post was here , https://timespast.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-great-race asking for a link . That download created a Monster with many external hard drives .

      I have a similar story.  For years I was a Usenet Addict where content flowed like water.  I took but never posted, Usenet being an anonymous addiction.   I collected OTR, NTR, Movies mostly old and some new and Movie Serials.  I joined a couple of sites on the regular net and was very put off by the Quotas etc. and most of it was what I already had or was available on Usenet.  I went back to my solitary collecting a few times and then I found Times Past, NO quotas, NO pressure, NO silly rules made by nobodies who were trying to rule a site as if it was the Fourth Reich or any other Dictatorship.  Life was easy and I enjoyed posting.  Robert had been taking some time off and the person he had for Administrator was playing Ceasar.  Well someone stood up to him and his silly little games and he quit, taking about half the groups with him including not only his but others posts.  Myself and 2 others stepped in and kept the site afloat as Robert could not be reached.  Robert was building his house and he asked me to be Administrator since he could not devote the time to both the house and the site..  At first I  did not want to then I gave in and the rest is history.  I have always been an oddball and I took the site in many directions and only intervened with the members with my Administrators hat on unless the situation was dire.  When I was going to do something unconventional I always asked Robert even though I had been give almost Carte Blanche  freedom to do as I wished.  Robert and I appear to have the same ideas and goals for TP. 

      I have been waiting for others who like to post like I do because the more content of many types is what makes the members happy.  I was an RN for 30 years and felt like my heart had been cut out when I became disabled.  Times past gave me the means to continue to help people since we have a very large amount of disabled and older members with either or neither the means to get literature or entertainment or the means to get out and get them.  Most with both afflictions including me.

      That's my story in a Nutshell and I'm sticking to it.  Welcome aboard!  ------------------------  R

      Awesome Read .... I've been trying to exactly as described in steady changing my posts genre . Im with you all the way with everything you said . I am Admin on another forum board , It got hitvery hard when Megaupload went down . I had posted many complete series and many movies . Until I happened to notice the Upload section here I had not posted anything anywhere in a longtime . I love the way it is hidden inside the site and membership is invite only . I do not like people who steady troll the internet looking to file DMCA complaints . To me what started all the Copyright issues is very simple , How can they charge $ 20.00 for a movie just released in 2014 , Then turn around in the very same breath and want $ 20/00 for Metropolis . Question is how much can they milk out of something ?

      Exactly!  We used to be behind 2 passwords before you could see anything but the face page and then we noticed that things were coming up there, so we hid the content on the face page.  The thing that got up to go private was the spammers.  When we had open registration, yes the request came to Robert or I for approval but how can you tell them all.  We got good at telling but not good enough.  Once in awhile you got one that was a laugh like this one Spammer from some 3rd world country tried using the name and picture of the US Joint chiefs of the Armed services and then she started hitting on male members.  Robert wanted to stay open for all but reality sucks when it hits.  We are getting a lot less members this way but much more quality in the brew.  Anyways it has been a long hard day My wife has an inoperable brain tumor and cannot walk anymore and I have been disabled for 15 years, a freak accident at work.  I also try to take care of her and we are trying to get Chronic home services.  The acute ones bowed out when she was diagnosed with the tumor.  It is benign so she won't die from it but she will never walk again and it is affecting her hands too.  Anyways I am dead tired, catch you tomorrow.  ---------------------------------------  R
