The Abominable Dr. Phibes is a 1971 British horror film starring Vincent Price and Joseph Cotten. Its art deco sets, dark humour and performance by Price have made the film and its sequel Dr. Phibes Rises Again cult classics. Dr. Phibes is inspired in his murderous spree by the Ten plagues of Egypt from the Old Testament. A doctor, scientist, organist, and biblical scholar, Dr. Anton Phibes, seeks revenge on the nine doctors he considers responsible for his wife's death.

The vengeful Doctor rises again, seeking the Scrolls of Life in an attempt to resurrect his deceased wife. Dr. Phibes awakens in 1928, three years after the events of the previous movie, when the moon becomes in appropriate conjunction with the planets.
His primary goal is the awakening of his dead wife, Victoria. He finds that his house has been demolished, and that the papyrus scrolls he needs to find the Pharaoh's tomb, where the River of Life flows, have been stolen. With the source of the papyrus theft identified, he and his assistant, Vulnavia, leave for Egypt. Vulnavia's face displays no effects from the acid shower she received at the end of the previous film, although she is played by a different actress, Australian model Valli Kemp.
The thieves die off as Inspectors Trout and Waverly chase Phibes across the world. The thieving party is led by the several-hundred-years-old Biederbeck (Robert Quarry), who wants to find the River of Life in order that he and his lover Diana (Fiona Lewis) can live forever. Phibes' murders now have an Egyptian theme; one character is sand-blasted to death, another is stung to death by scorpions.

Thanks for sharing.
Whew, saved me uploading these 2. Thank you for all the good work my friend! Larry
Larry, do you have the third. Never mind, nothing comes down correctly from there to my computer. ----------- R
I have Theatre of Blood, but Vincent plays Edward Lionheart a Shakespearian actor in it. Diana Rigg plays his daughter in this one too, but it doesn't look like it is a Dr. Phibes movie. I have it as a 808 mb mp4 and as a 1.55 gig avi. Do you have a favorite choice or one that downloads better for you? Let me know, and I will put it in uploads for you. Larry
Don't bother Larry because nothing I download from Uploads completes, same thing when I upload they rarely complete. It really erks me, all this good stuff going up and I can't download them. I have a lot of them but there are those few that I would love. I try every time and they always stop from 10-20 minutes before the end of the movie. Thanks anyways. ---------------------------- R
I didn't know there was a third film. I've done a search, and all I can find is-The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Dr. Phibes Rises Again. One of the sources I looked at was a Complete Dr. Phibes Blu-ray. I know Johnny Depp did a remake. And I only know that because I read it while looking for any thing about 3 movies. Can you give me the name of it? Larry
Hi Larry, It is called Dr. Phibes Theater of Blood. ------------------------------ R
