    Awesome! Wasn't this and T-Birds amazing?! The special effects alone made these 'marionettes' shows worth watching! Used to run home from school to see Stingray! - R.L.

      The Special effects in Thunderbirds were done by Derek Meddings, who did the first James Bond movies with Sean Connery in them! The set designs were awesome as were the story lines. Stuff blowing up in the opening credits had me hooked as a kid.(And still do!)

      Thanks for that. Because I bought on dvd the two thunderbirds movies. I've only seen the first one so far. One of the special features Is a commenatry with sylvia Anderson, and the director. They have very high praise for Meddings.  Heck, Stanley Kubrick tried to get the effects team to work on 20001, but it wasn't going to happen.
