The Adventures of Rocky Starr was a 1950s Production from Australian Radio. It spotlighted the Interplanetary Adventures of Rocky Starr and his his fearless crew of Mitch Morgan and Anne Vernon aboard "The Blue Streak Spaceship
I was a serial production on a 15 minute chaptered format. There were 624 episodes and the series was quite popular in it's 11 Adventures. It was Produced in Sydney at the studios of AMA. It starred Howard Craven as Rocky Starr. It was broadcast on Sydney radio Station 2CH at 1915 hours Monday through Thursday
These are to my knowledge the only surviving recordings of this excellent show. I had promised the person who I got these from to not post them until I saw them elsewhere. I have downloaded a copy of these to match my own recently and have decided that I have fulfilled my end of the bargain.
Destination Venus
This is the First ever Serial from this series. It introduces the 3 main Charachters. It also tells where and how they acquired The Blue Streak. This is the story of how Rocky and his crew help Venusians fight against The Evil Dictator Gorg and his giant Robots.
it was originally 104 episodes of which only 92 survive. Episodes 5-10, 15-18 and 52-53 are believed lost. This has happened to countless shows from radio amd i am for one proud to be a part of a community that strives to save what we can and even find some the lost masterpieces of Radio.
Lost In Space
The second posted here is Lost In Space. It was 52 episodes and is complete. This time the heroic crew blast off towards Saturn. They are on a Rescue Mission looking for 3 students that absconded with a Space Ship and are now proverbially Lost In Space. They land on a planetoid near Saturn and are attacked by Tripod Beings.

Hi Rick
Thanks for this fabulous series. Seen it here so decided to download it.
So much work goes into posting these larger files, thank you for taking the time out to do this. I would never have heard of this and am looking forward to listening, it seems like it is right up my alley. Many thanks, Rik
50s Scifi was the quintessential Science Fiction Action Adventure. Even though WWII had just ended less than 10 years before we were still naive but on the verge of waking from the dream into a harsh reality. This set is very good and all that remains of a very popular show in it's time. It is hard to imagine that of 11 adventures and 624 chapters this is all that survives. It is sad. Enjoy! ----------------------- R
Oh, oh oh oh oh oh this sounds soooooooo good!!! Thank you, Rik!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Rick!
Thanks a lot for these. I love the 50s science fiction serials.
Sounds interesting. I see there is also Undercover Carson, loved that series. And just one question. Is Commander Keen Australian? If so, I have to series from that one.
I don't think so. I think it started out as a video game. ------------------- R
woops! I meant to say Major Keen. I think his name was Gregory Keen, and after checking, I found out it is Australian. And it is sort of already on here. You can find all 4 at Calfkiller. I just downloaded the ones I didn't have any longer. If I remember right, they are pretty good.
Post them here. If you don't want to I will. Let me know. ------------- R
