Captain Miracle was Network Rival to Rocky Starr. It was produced by Crawford Productions in Melbourne.
Captain miracle was a 15 minute continuing serial. It chronicled the Adventures of the former Captain Knight. Captain Knight was subjected to mind altering "treatment" by a Martian who landed in the Central Australian Desert. He emerged from the Treatment as "Captain Miracle". he then teams up with 16 Y/O Paul and flies off in the matrian Spacecraft on a quest to fight the Evil Star Beast who has arrived from deep Space with a plan to conquer both Earth and mars.
Here is a new hero who will astound you with his intrepid adventure as he explores and conquers the unknown vastness of space. There has never been a figure as famous or fabulous as Captain Miracle
The truly unfortunate and sad truth is that only the first 2 episodes of this clever and wonderfully entertaining show survive to the present time. This 1957 rare offering is a glimpse to the wonderful entertainment that has been lost or intentionally destroyed worldwide in the past eras when Radio was King. They are presented here for the collectors who would like a true rarity for their collections and for the listener who is truly interested in the past of Australian Radio.
