Red for Danger by Edward J. Mason

A thriller in six parts from the pen of Edward J. Mason, co-creator of Dick Barton.

Lady’s Investigation

A jeweller attends a party and learns that his beautiful hostess is in danger.

Gold Elephant

Red Farley is still missing and so is Pat's birthday bracelet.

In spite of being warned off by his friend the inspector, David Conway and his fiancé Pat decide to do a little investigating themselves.

Seeing Red

David Conway and Pat Manners try to catch up with the mysterious Red Farley but she is good at giving people the slip. Finally they track her down at the circus where she says she suspects her husband Paul of trying to steal Krutz's secret formula for his alloy metal and that she fears for her life.

Cards on the Table

Following a murder at the circus, the race is still on for David and Pat to get to the bottom of the mystery about the secret new super metal.

Target Practice

Red Farley is still missing, David Conway has left his flat in the early hours with Kratz following a message from Johnny Johnson to meet him at the foundry works. David and Kratz then find out who is working for whom. Paul Farley and Hugo Norsten will stop at nothing to get their hands on the secret formula for Kratz alloy metal - and then they want to test it out - just to make sure.

Under Fire

Even Paul Farley is uneasy, as living targets are lined up to test the Krautz alloy metal. Can David and Pat outwit the villains as they get increasingly reckless under Johnny Johnson?
