Part 1

High in the pine forests of the Spanish Sierra, American volunteer Robert Jordan prepares to blow up a bridge key to the fascist war effort. Camping with a band of guerrillas, but surrounded by the enemy, Jordan finds himself drawn to Maria, a young woman who has escaped Franco's rebels.

Part 2

As the appointed hour approaches, the Republican forces embark on their offensive strike, and American volunteer Robert Jordan prepares to face his seemingly inevitable demise.
