Big Finish Dark Shadows

In 2004 Big Finish Productions were granted a licence by Dan Curtis Productions, Inc. to make original full-cast audio drama productions, featuring new music and sound effects alongside classic Dark Shadows compositions from Emmy-nominated composer Robert Cobert. As a continuation of the original 1966-1971 daytime series, the audio plays take place at an unspecified time after we last saw the present-day characters. I will be uploading very soon,if any one wants to add be my guest

  • The best thread at Times Past

    course DS Rules

    ;-)

    • There were2 people that were posting DS and both have more or less disappeared.  I don't see either posting or downloading with thanks.  Myself, I am not that big a fan so someone has to either pick up the ball or we try looking elsewhere.  I have been looking to find some of them that are missing and they just don't seem to be around.

A suggestion:  If one of you fans of the shows could look through and tell me what is missing it would be much easier for me to try to find them.  It would also give others a sense of what is needed.  ------------------  R

    • I will take a quick look with the main search.

    • Hi Codepop,

  • I'm finally getting around to re-visiting Collinwood !  Thanks for posting..

  • My apologies and confusion...I see Google results for Big Finish - The Time of Petofi but it is not listed on Big Finish site.  Not sure what's up.  The description of the story that is given is:

In 1897, a nobleman called Count Petofi arrived at Collinwood to reclaim his severed hand, the source of his magical powers. By the time he was defeated, he had touched the lives of all the Collins family forever. Nearly 100 years later, his spirit lies in wait. For Petofi’s servants are at work, preparing the path. The time has come… tonight, Count Petofi returns to reclaim Collinwood.

I see it was listed on the website I was looking at was to be available sometime after August 2011, I assumed that it was available somewhere but maybe it was delayed in production?

    • They did release it under it's new title "Bloodlust" It is a 13 episode mini-series which runs around eight hours. It's awesome. I want to share it here, but the show is huge (Has many files, the eps are broken up into individual tracks AKA Scenes) and I'm not sure how to share them here.

  • I came across a newsletter at Big Finish (BF) that tells behind the scenes stuff and future releases from Big Finish.  It is free on the website but I have zipped up the past issues on the BF site and have included them below if there is any interest.

    • Thank You Codepop.  It kind of looks like our usual poster and lovely lady has had a change in her life that precludes her from posting her usual wonderful Dark Shadows Posts.  Hopefully her status will change, not for us but for her.  -------------------------------------------------------  Rick
