The Six Mothers-In-Law Of Henry VIII
BBC RADIO 4
Historians, writers and film and television-makers have been
fascinated for years with King Henry VIII and his multiple
marriages. However, one angle has been overlooked: the six wives
mean six mothers-in-law. In an effort to shed some light on an
obscure corner of history, writer Barry Grossman reveals some
little-known facts as the series delves into the lives of these good
ladies and asks how they influenced Henry's marriages, his
domestic life and his public persona.
Barry Grossman is probably best known to listeners for his
comedy series The Attractive Young Rabbi.
