Afternoon Play - 2005-09-14 The Egyptian Collection By Kate Pullinger. London, 1916. A schoolgirl believes she is related to the Egyptian Pharoah Seti. So obsessed does she become that she bunks off school to spend time in the British Museum studying texts and artifacts of the era, quickly becoming an authority. But the war with Germany is at its height. The museum authorities try to ban her on safety grounds.     • I always laugh when I hear a British phrase like "just up my street" and compare it to how it is said here in the US "right up my alley".  They are so close and I wonder how that happens.  Oh well I guess there are some things we will never know.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Rick
