After his divorce, Lewis is encouraged by his daughter to take up metal detecting again.
It seems that he's in luck. First he finds a gold ring, and then he meets the chaming Judy, who says that the ring was hers.
But Lewis gradually begins to wonder if Judy is real. Is her voice only in his headphones? A ghost or just a figment of his imagination? Can he ever risk falling in love again?
