Their father died and the oldest girl, May, stayed at home to look after her mother, while the other siblings left home. Years later, Frank, writes a misery memoir, The Cupboard Under The Stairs, about being abused by his parents and siblings. But no one seems to recognise the life about which Frank has written.

Part 1 - An Author in the Family
The Prime siblings have grown up on a remote farm. May has stayed at home to look after her mother, and Colin and Berenice live locally; only Frank has left the area, to become a journalist in London. Then Frank has an idea which will bring him fame and fortune but have disastrous consequences for the rest of the family.
Part 2 - Taking Flight
Frank's misery memoir has been published and is a huge success. Back at the farm, mother has died.
Part 3 - Alone
