Saturday Night Theatre "Our Roman Cousins" 05/11/77

Our Roman Cousins byBRUCE STEWART with Duncan Lamont Timothy West and Aubrey Woods
In 1766 Charles Stuart was no longer the ' Bonnie Prince ' of the 45 but a boisterous tippler whose manners and morals were the despair of his younger brother Henry, an elegant Cardinal. Henry plotted to persuade the Pope to recognise the Stuart claim to the English throne - but Charlie's behaviour was no recommendation.

  • I ran this by my SNT expert and he says this is the 1988 version not the 1977 version. see below

"Our Roman Cousins is not the 75 MP/77 SNT version. It is the 1988 version. The mislabel comes from the SNT distro and SNT upload to Usenet it is the same 32 KBS mislabeled file. It was also uploaded to the OTRR Library before the BBC made them take them down and I think it is still at Radio Echoes. The original file came from Usenet years ago. I found it at a now defunct pay to download site about 9 years ago."

    Just thought you should know.

    • Thanks for the heads up Mike. I've come across one or two mis-labelled before now, such as "Trent's Last Case"

    • The credits give you the first clue. :>)  And I do have a 64kbps rather clean version of that one.

  • Thanks for all of these!

  • I must give credit to "Radioechoes" for some of these uploads. An excellent website!

    • Thanks. I have gotten more new SNT's this week than I have in the last year

    • I'm glad Mike. SNT plays are the best for me.
