  • Works OK now. Thanks -- Robert Johnson

  • Thanks all.

I will be checking out A Drive too.

I know Double Entry was always the one that people were missing from their collections but it turns out that since this copy came to light (thanks to RD Wingfield's son, Phil) that a few people had it all along.

So maybe someone also has the one remaining missing play, the 30 minute version of Slow Fuse from 1976 :)

James here did a massive Wingfield post a few years ago along with an awesome retrospective - does anyone know if he still visits here?

    • Yes he does, but he lives in Bulgaria now and internet service is sporadic at best LOL.  Send him a PM.  It takes a bit bit will usually answer in good time.  ---------------------------  R

  • I'm listening to it now.  Thanks, Bob!

    • Glad you like it Bob, I am fully satisfied with it.  It may take me until the end of the week but I will get all my stuff off ge.tt.  They are now with the new owners losing stuff beside outdating older posts on paid account.  ------------  R

  • Hi all

    Apologies for the problems.

Link seems to be working again.

    • I agree Bob, upcoding muddies the heck out of a piece.  I tried it once from a sharp crisp 32K OTR piece and upcoded it to 128 just to listen to the difference.  What a difference, the 128 piece sounded like crap. Threw that puppy in the crapper and kept the 32K.  Thank You Paul for the effort, you are commended.  Everyone has their favorite place to upload to and mine is A-Drive.  Try it you won't regret it, not if you are going to do any serious posting.  Speaking of A-drive.  I will be around but busy  I may do a little posting but my immediate task at hand is to move all my stuff off of ge.tt.  Ge.tt was sold to a larger company and now posts from my PAID ACCOUNT are outdating and being removed by this new owner.  Home don't like that crap, so homey is trying to get moved before the next payment is due or they outdate any more.  Wish me luck.  ---------------------  R

    • Sadly, it's the only encode I've ever found. I never offered it because the sound is not up to my standard.

Paul's problems with BOX prompted me to offer it as a stopgap until he can get his rolling.

BTW, I fully endorse ADrive - low cost, quick servers, easy interface and they allow FTP uploads by paid members, which is FAR quicker than the web interface.

  • The download is still not working.

  • Here's a copy, cleaned a bit and tagged properly.

The sound is okay, but this file was apparently upcoded from a lower bitrate and y'all know how I feel about that .. :>(
