When asking to join Private Groups.

Hi All,

I just noticed something while approving a request to join a private group that disturbs me. I found another request that was over a month old. I have had this happen many times before, but this one jarred my recollection of it's happening many times before because it was so long ago.  When you request to join a group. the request is routed to the administrators, so any time you have not heard within 3 days you should request again.  We are not ignoring you, somehow the system has not sent out the authorization request because if they did more than one administrator would get it and the law of averages is that it would be approved before 3 days, usually within 24 hours.  It is routed to the group administrator, both site administrators and the Owner of the site, so if you don't get the OK or an email saying we all hate you within 3 days please try again because the Ning system failed and we did not get the request from the "automatic?" system.  ----------------------------------------------------  Rick

Thank you Rick.  I too appreciate the information, not that I've ever had problems getting a quick approval.  Always interested in the proper netiquette of any group I join.
