Music Player for Times Past

When we downgraded from the Ning Pro plan to the Plus plan, one thing we lost was the Ning music player. In response to this I have added the new yahoo music player into the Times Past Network.

How To Use:

On your page you should have a Text Box.  If not, on the left side of your page click on Add Apps and then search for My Text Box and you can add one to your page.

All you do is type in some text like name of show, song, title and so on; then just highlight the text and link to any mp3 via the link tab at top of box. Kind of make a play list.  You can keep adding the links as needed. You can name the box to whatever you want like My Media Play or My Playlist.

Save, then refresh page and a play button will appear next to each link.

This will also work if you link an mp3 in any of the post on Times Past or in a reply box.

Also you can add the link to any youtube video page.  Just copy and past the url of the youtube page on and link the same way.

The player will appear when you click on a play button and you will also see something on the player that says "Playlist"   Click on playlist and it will show all media links on the page .

Here is an example:   The first two are audio and the third one is video.

Raymond Chandler - The Long Goodbye

Raymond Chandler - The Little Sister

Jack Gives Johnny Carson Advice (1955)

Have not got the player to work using Chrome browser yet on the Ning platforn, I tested with Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera and seems to work OK with those browsers.

I started a Playlist on My Page if like to take a look.
