I had the pleasure of knowing Linda Stirling, Queen of the Republic serials, in the last few years of her life. This serial was the last one she made before leaving Republic and marrrying scriptwriter Sloan Nibley, who wrote many Roy Rogers films. I met Linda at Knoxville during a Republic film convention and we corresponded for a time. Very nice lady, unassuming who undoubtedly got a kick of telling her college English students about her days as a serial queen. Of course you know her from "The Tiger Woman" and "Zorro's Black Whip."
