Let's all try and be more active in developing this site. We have an opportunity to make Times Past a truly unique place. There is something for absolutely EVERYONE here. It's not confined to OTR and for the most part there's not the same old tired stuff on here that you can find in any number of places on the internet. If a topic that you find interesting is not available let everyone know what you'd like and between us all we'll find a way to get it up and running.. Many people for whatever their reasons are not happy with other OTR sites. We can all make this what we want it to be. There are many things in place here that aren't found elsewhere. It's nicely laid out and easy to use. There's no frustration searching through page after page of topics. I hope that soon we'll not see "Last Activity May 30" and so on. I hope I'm not coming off as some loud mouth know it all here. I just really enjoy coming to this place a couple of times a day and would hate to see it fail.

I agree completely. This is a wonderful site and the people for the most part are absolutely the best.I am sure that a lot of you have unique collections and can find something to upload. If you don't know how to upload, Ask any of the regular uploaders for help. If you belong to multiple sites, then take something from there and bring it here. There are many ways a lot of you can do to keep this site as good as it has become and make it better. You don't have to upload constantly, but try a little and make this site the best on the net. there are a certain amount on any site that are here only to download and that is alright because we upload to bring enjoyment to others, but you are missing a big part of the enjoyment of this hobby and that is giving unconditionally in uploading once in awhile. Be warned though, the extra enjoyment that uploading gives is contagious and you may just like it if you try it.-----Rick

I concur. TimesPast was started for folks of the same interest to build a community and to share and talk nostalgia of all types. Even with it being pretty much a new site, it has potential to grow and be enjoyed by many as time goes on. The site belongs to the community of members, not any one member.

But, as true with all web sites, activity is always going to be less during the summer months. Folks are doing more outside activities, vacations, gardening, mowing, little league, fishing and camping, and so on.

For as groups go, if anyone has activity on other web sites, you can start a group and name it the same, and make it public or private for discussion and posting. For example, say your a member of xyz forum somewhere else, you can start a group called "xyz" and when you need to post a file to share, can post in the "xyz" Group and link to it. There could be a Group for folks who have web sites on Multiply, for instance, to talk and trade. The possibilities here are many.

I would like to thank all our members for the great variety of content. Remember, it is all about having Fun.
