Happy Halloween!

Several years ago, I started keeping a list of Halloween themed internet sites. It's grown pretty large, though far from comprehensive, & includes quite the miscellany of things online for (or even vaguely related to) Halloween, including: sites about the history of Halloween, sites about haunted places, ghost stories & poetry online, recommendations for scary movies, Halloween music sites (thanks Katy!), a recommendation for THIS wonderful place, Halloween clips on YouTube (& other… Continue

The House is Haunted

HAPPY HALLOWEEN to all my lj friends!

I'll be offline until after the holiday, so here is my annual "holiday spirit" post.

If you're looking for some online resources to help "set the mood" for the holiday, I have compiled a list of favourite/useful links. I began collecting these (mostly free) Halloween resources a few years ago, but have updated it quite a bit this year & added some really fun sites, so please… Continue

Hi Karin:

I love any of the Charles Dickens stories. As you know, there are several under the Holiday section but if your are looking for more check out "Romance on the Radio" and you will find more.
Any thing in particular re war years, e.g. drama, music, entertainment for the troops re old time radio shows.
If you are looking for specific dates or weeks here is a link to a wonderful project to catalogue all radio listings from newspapers:
www.jjonz.us. Also, Google the New York Times and other national papers for their radio listings.

Get back to me about the war years,

katy

Hi MadBlonde: The links are fixed on my Blog for Halloween Websites. They were working but you never know what happens to these things.

Keep me posted if they break again, thanks, katy

I'm number 181 and I see you're no. 188 so I don't feel so new here any more! I think I strayed in here after poking around on Internet Archive looking for radio episodes of Dad's Army. Great site though. I'm afraid I don't know a great deal about the theatre, but I am learning, and I just love all the quirky stuff they've got here.

John.

Can you send me the link to the Fill-ins for Saturday Night Theatre.  I accidentally deleted your post. Many Thanks! jimb

Big time Boo-boo

I have messed around and deleted the ‘S’ folder from the library.  I am in the process of restoring it but it will take several days.  I’ll get Saturday Night Theatre up as soon as possible. jimb

To All Library Users

I have made a boo-boo somehow and accidentally moved all the ‘S’ Files to the bottom of the ‘R’ folder.  Until I can figure out a way to fix this, this is where you can find them. Anyone with a solution, mail me off-list. Thanks jimb
