  • Rick, Thanks for the invite to join the group.

  • Does anyone have the reading of "Glimpses" by Lewis Shiner?

I found the first chapters but nothing further.
An audio engineer with Major Daddy Issues discovers the ability to imagine great unfinished rock classics and project them onto digital tape.

In the course of the novel, he completes "Let It Be", "The Celebration of the Lizard", Brian Wilson's "Smile" and others.  An insightful fantasy.

  • H E Bates 'My uncle silas" from Book at Bedtime in 9 parts from 1990

  • Does anyone have any of H E Bates 'My uncle silas' read by David Neal?

  • Hi Alyson,

Since it would fit in either place, myself, I would put it in both.  I frequently double post an item in 2 different groups simultaneously.  --------------------  R

  • I have an mp3 of Leonard Rossiter (Reggie Perrin/Rising Damp) reading A Christmas Carol (2 parter).  Should I post a link here, or in the holidays section?  It's not a BBC production but an independent recording/"book on cassette", from 1979.  I also thought I had him reading Great Expectations but I can't find it and I'm not seeing anything on the web so it looks like this would be my only Rossiter upload.

  • I really liked it when I saw it.  That is what set me off to, when I couldn't sleep the other night, changing stuff around a little.  ------------------  R

  • That's o.k.  I only said I liked the new photos you posted in the group sections. :)

  • I'm sorry Jamie, I didn't get any sleep last night and accidentally deleted your comment on the group before I read it.  Crap!  --------------  R

  • Chimp, did you read the note I sent to everyone yesterday.  That would be perfect for making room and keeping things at the same time.  If you didn't get the note go to The little red schoolhouse and you will see it.  ------------  R
