Old Time Radio, Nostalgia

1. The House of Mystery - The Ghost Who Forgot Halloween

Host: John Griggs as "Roger Elliott - The Mystery Man"
Organist: Al Fanelli
Sponsor: Post Cereals
Original Radio Broadcast: October 27, 1945 on the Mutual Network

The House of Mystery was a ghost chasing type of story with a story teller who called himself Roger Elliott. The first sounds heard were the spooky organ music welcoming the audience, primarily children. There were two children in attendance and the host would address his remarks to them and tell his story. Each show was a dramatization of HIS personal experiences as a ghost chaser and ghost buster. These were not terrifying or frightening stories but were intended to amuse the kids and keep them buying Post Toasties, the sponsor.

This kids show began as a daily 15 minute broadcast early in 1945 running for several months. Then beginning in Sep 1945 it ran for two more seasons, with breaks for the summer, in a thirty minute format.

A very rare program, since there are less than a handful in circulation

Is There A Ghost In The House?

Possibly an Australian production, based upon the accents. This series was broadcast on Springbok Radio (South Africa) late on Friday nights, just after "Nightbeat". It reportedly caused at least one young listener nightmares.

I only have two shows.

No emails

Has anybody experienced this problem? I have not received emails from TimesPast in over 2 weeks now. I have been receiving emails on a regular basis announcing posts of new programs, and other group actions, but suddenly, the emails stopped coming in. Sure, I can go to the site and look for myself to see what's new, but I miss the emails.
If anybody else has had this problem please let me know. I love this site, but have felt left out of the loop lately.

Uploading stuff

Hi all

I'm new to the site, and was wondering about a couple of things

Firstly I have quite a bit of Paul Temple stuff, I was going to upload it ( I dont know how to do this) but I was wondering what the legal standing of it was..They are all BBC productions but as I am sure you know they have been recently released. If I was able to upload them ( Is there a section here that can help me?) would it be legal?

Cheers
