The House on Haunted Hill (1959)

"Vincent Price gives a stellar performance as the suavely malevolent host of a "haunted house party" who offers his guests $10,000 if they can survive a night in the murderous mansion.
Watch for the great Elisha Cook Jr,(he played Wilmer in the "Maltese Falcon") as the groveling homeowner.

The eerie looking home used for the exterior shots is the Ennis Brown house in Los Angeles, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1924. It was later used in the films "Blade Runner", "Black Rain", and "Rocketeer"." Internet Archive Notes

Her tutor, Professor Alan Driscoll(Lee), recommends the Raven's Inn, run by a Mrs. Newless. Rather unwisely, given the amount of low-hanging fog outside(and against the advice of Mrs. Newless), Nan takes an immediate interest in the basement." Internet Archive Notes.

Close! 27 May 1922 is Christopher Lee's date of birth, and Vincent Price was born on 27 May, but the year was 1911. Peter Cushing's birthday was the previous day, 26 May, but he was born in 1913. John Carradine doesn't fit the pattern at all. He was born on February 5 1906.

Hi roger:

I really liked the photograph but I thought it was a bit strange that they all had the same birthday. So I'm very glad that you corrected the information.

Happy Hallowe'en, katy

It's a great photo, isn't it? A publicity still for the only film the four of them made together - Pete Walker's "House of Long Shadows". (I can't comment on the film itself as I've never seen it, but it doesn't seem to have a high reputation. Pity...)

Hallowe'en greetings to you, young lady!

Roger

No emails

Has anybody experienced this problem? I have not received emails from TimesPast in over 2 weeks now. I have been receiving emails on a regular basis announcing posts of new programs, and other group actions, but suddenly, the emails stopped coming in. Sure, I can go to the site and look for myself to see what's new, but I miss the emails.
If anybody else has had this problem please let me know. I love this site, but have felt left out of the loop lately.

Uploading stuff

Hi all

I'm new to the site, and was wondering about a couple of things

Firstly I have quite a bit of Paul Temple stuff, I was going to upload it ( I dont know how to do this) but I was wondering what the legal standing of it was..They are all BBC productions but as I am sure you know they have been recently released. If I was able to upload them ( Is there a section here that can help me?) would it be legal?

Cheers
