There is an internet radio station that features nothing but Old Time & New Time Radio Horror Shows 24/7. It is called Horror Theatre. I'm listening to it now. They are airing an episode of Weird Circle at the moment. This station is sooo cool. Here's the link folks.

I thought I would share this with everyone:-))
That's WONDERFUL, thank you!! -K
The scariest Old Time Radio show I fondly remember is Vincent Price's performance in 'Three Skeleton Key' on the CBS program 'Escape'. Today I find real ghost stories told by Lex Wahl, and his listeners, from www.anythingghost.com to be very scary; especially late at night as I am walking the dogs.

The late and great Himan Brown produced a CBS Radio Mystery Theater show back in the 1970s titled 'The Devil's Printer' which scared me one Halloween night and I was a grown man then but I still remember it!
This may not be considered old time radio to some...but I think that both the Nightfall and Fear on Four series from the 70's and 80's had quite a lot of truly scary episodes..
I am trying to narrow down the scariest batch of them..
but for now "Dreaming of Thee" from Fear on Four comes to mind..and was one of those that sticks.
I can't think of the name of the show (I think it was a suspense show). The man was a talent scout checking out a small time circus. He found the most talented ventriloquist he had ever seen; Yet He was told not to talk to him. I won't tell you the rest in case you get to listen to it... If some one know the title please tell me.

Fivecard,

It was Suspense, and the show was Flesh Peddler with Deforest Kelly.

The Thing on the Fourble Board is spooky indeed, but one episode on ESCAPE rates higher [imho]. A SHIPMENT OF MUTE FATE with Jack Webb concerns a deadly snake that escapes aboard a ship at sea.I wont give away any more of the plot, but the tension is white nuckle all the way..Another good one for Halloween is THE MONKEYS PAW..

I listen to alot of otr horror and I think Fear on Four's "Dead Man's Boots" is one of the scariest shows I've heard.Beyond midnight is also wonderful their episode of "Smee" is fantastic. You won't forget them. They will pop into your mind everytime your alone in the dark. After those you can top it off with Black Mass "An Evening's Entertainment". Grandma's stories will never be the same!
